Your tour guide will meet you at the hotel for a half day city tour of Vientiane, visit the highlights of this capital including the That Luang - commonly known as “Great Stupa”, National Museum. This sleepy city will come to life with a number of markets appearing along the riverfront in the evening, it is great to explore the area and enjoy a bottle of Beer Laos before your dinner.

After breakfast, your tour guide will take you to the airport in time for your morning flight to Luang Prabang. You are free in the afternoon to relax or explore the surrounding area at your own. Luang Prabang is the jewel of Laos, this UNESCO town has so much to explore while you are here. The local night market is a nice introduction to what Luang Prabang has to offer, it’s bright and colorful with unique souvenirs. You should also try our one of Laos BBQ, just a short walk down to the riverfront there will be a number of local eateries specializing in “cook your own BBQ”, simply pick your ingredients and cook your own food. This is an amazing way to soak up the atmosphere and interact with the local people.

This morning you will enjoy a cycle ride around the UNESCO recognized area of Luang Prabang, this is a great way for travelers to tick off all the highlights of this World Heritage Site. Along the way, your guide will share their knowledge about historical sites. You are free in the afternoon to explore the city at your own.

This morning you will rise up early and show up on the street as the sun begins to rise, to witness the daily alms giving ceremony. A large number of monks are parading the streets around the town and receive offering from local people. This is an important daily tradition in Luang Prabang, and you don’t want to miss this activity while you are here. Afterwards you will drive to a scenic spot near the famous Kuang Si Fall out of town, here you will enjoy a scenic breakfast. You will be taken back in town in the afternoon, free to relax or explore around on your own.

After your breakfast at the hotel, say goodbye to Luang Prabang and head north along the Mekong River on the Luang Say Cruise. Pakbeng is a small village where you will spend the night at the Luang Say Lodge overlooking the Mekong. If you arrive early in the afternoon, you will have some time to wander around the village and see the local way of life. The lodge restaurant offers beautiful views, nice bar and delicious food.

Today you continue to cruise towards the Thai border at Huay Xai, where you disembark your boat and leave Laos for Thailand. Drive to Chiang Rai for a two-night stay. Chiang Rai is a city in northern Thailand, the city is near the borders of Laos and Myanmar (formerly Burma). Wat Phra Kaew is a royal temple that once housed the jade Emerald Buddha and now displays a replica. Nearby, the Navel City Pillar is a monument made of more than 100 Khmer-style pillars. This evening you may want to venture to the town's famous clock tower where the local people gather to eat from the street vendors.

Explore the stunning scenery of northern Thailand with majestic setting of the infamous Golden Triangle and its opium museum. Enjoy the stops at various viewpoints affording vistas over the three countries: Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar (Burma). In the evening, you may want to wander around Chiang Rai’s night market and pick up some souvenirs.

Today you will get transferred to the airport in Chiang Rai for your flight to Bangkok, where you may want to spend a night to explore this capital of Thailand or take your onward flight home.
