The Sol Bungalows are situated in a field of rice paddies making it the perfect place to relax and take in the dramatic scenery of Mai Chau. With only nine rooms the bungalows are a great place to get some peace and quiet.
Mai Chau Valley is set in the stunningly beautiful, mountainous region of Hoa Binh Province, 135km south west of Hanoi. Many of Vietnam's indigenous ethnic minority groups live in the region, making the local Sunday markets colorful places to be! Throughout the week the region provides an excellent base for light trekking or cycling, thanks to the picturesque valleys and rice paddy terraces, the friendly locals and the many small villages that make ideal destinations to break from your day's activities.
Set in lush tropical gardens, the lodge consists of four wooden villas and eight bedrooms, decorated in a deceptively simple, beautifully finished local style, with whitewashed walls, polished wooden floors and woodwork, smart locally designed furniture, and locally produced fabrics. Sculpture and artworks from regional artisans add the finishing touch, with each room uniquely themed to honor a local tribe.
Bathrooms further contribute to the sense of personality, with their colorful terrazzo tubs and stylishly deployed natural materials. All accommodation benefits from a private terrace overlooking the gardens, river, or the impressive countryside beyond.
Muang La Resort is situated on the edge of a small traditional village, on the banks of a river and surrounded by rainforests. It is a 5.5-hour drive from Luang Prabang International Airport and a 40-minute drive from Oudom Xay Airport.

Their restaurant sits on a large terrace overlooking the river. They also offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy different views while enjoying our cuisine: a private terrace, a secluded corner of their shady gardens, or our Sala.
La Sala is a private part of their island, reached across a small suspension bridge spanning the River Nam Pak. Built on stilts, this beautiful, wooden pavilion offers wonderful views over the river.
Natural hot springs dot the river below the resort. Two relaxing spring-water hot tubs have been built overlooking the mountains and river and opens every evening for hotel guests. There is a herbal steam room too and both treatments are free for residents. An additional thatched sala offers traditional Lao massage.
A new addition to the property is an infinity pool, built onto a small, private island, set into the middle of the flowing river.
