The charming and beautiful boutique-style Victoria Angkor Resort and Spa is inspired by 20th century colonial architecture and located close to the Angkor Temples & the quaint old market town of Siem Reap.
The luxurious Victoria Angkor Resort and Spa in the heart of Siem Reap opens its facades onto the bustling city marketplace. This former infirmary reconverted into a five star hotel complex, plunges its guests into the delicate retro era of French Indochina. French architect, Brice Belian created this elegant and refined hotel using the theme of the former great expeditions to the Angkor region by western countries.
Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa features 120 rooms and 10 Suites, all made to ensure you the best stay possible. The large and immaculate rooms are a great marriage of modern comforts and retrofitted wood furniture, offering understated style along with air-con, TV, a safe, and a coffee machine. Attention is given to detail – the bed spreads are made from Vietnamese raw silk and the armchairs with footstools invite for a snooze.
All rooms feature cozy balconies that open either onto the Royal Gardens or the courtyard pool and are arranged around two patios dominated by Frangipani trees.
The Victoria Angkor Hotel is located halfway between downtown Siem Reap and the Angkor Archaeological Park, facing the Royal Gardens in the leafy French Quarter and a stone’s throw from Siem Reap River.
FOOD & DRINK
The Victoria has two restaurants drawing from both of Cambodia’s main culinary traditions: the elegant, scarlet-lacquered Le Bistrot, which serves excellent French cuisine, and the more laid-back L’Escale, where the buffet fare includes Khmer and Asian specialties ranging from dim sum to spicy fish amok. For well-mixed cocktails and light snacks, L’Explorateur bar is a cozy venue with leather club seats and large windows; it also offers traditional dance and music entertainment most nights.
If you’re looking for Cambodian craftworks or locally designed clothing, the Victoria also has a small but well-stocked gift shop. There's a small spa, where guests can indulge in a range of traditional massages or enjoy a variety of body scrubs and wraps. Parents looking to spend some quality time together will be glad to hear that the Victoria has a well-equipped kids club for children two to 12.
Service is exceedingly friendly and helpful. The large salt water pool in the central courtyard is surrounded by dense tropical foliage interspersed with wooden salas where guests can enjoy a massage. In a clever feat of engineering, a smaller plunge pool and a kids’ pool are located above the main pool. It is flanked by a large wooden pool deck.
The Healthysens spa offers a variety of treatments and also has two steam rooms. The three 1930s Citroen C6 limousines are a major eye catcher and can be rented by guests for city or temple tours. Guests may feed the three resident crocodiles on Mondays and Fridays.
