FOOD & DRINK
The resort’s chef worked as the owner’s family cook for 20 years and offers excellent Khmer cuisine with an emphasis on vegetarian and fish dishes. Breakfast is simple and à la carte with freshly baked bread and eggs, or delicious noodle soup, fresh fruit and great coffee. Afternoon tea comes with several Khmer snacks such as pastry with banana filling accompanied by an incredible sugar cane sauce. The best place for a pre-dinner drink is in the sala.
Besides the compact pool, there’s a small spa located on the ground floor of Maison. Dedicated massage beds in the open space underneath Khmer House can be used by guests who don’t need the indoor air-conditioning. Maison Polanka offers cooking classes to its guests. There’s a small souvenir boutique stall on the premises, selling select locally made krama (traditional Khmer scarf) and pottery items.
